Verb and Adverb

● Verb is word that show an action, occurance, or state of being. Almost every sentence need a verb.

○ The types of the verb

• Main verb is the head of a verb phrase in a sentence or a clause. Example:
° Dilan is dating Milea.
° Iqbaale has deleted Nurani's massage.

• Auxiliary verb is for helping a main verb and cannot stand alone.
1. Primary auxiliary verb: to be, do, have, etc.. Example: David is a handsome boy.
2. Modality auxiliary verb: may, can, should, etc.. Example: Samuel may sit next to me.
3. Emphasize auxiliary verb: do, does. Example: I do love Kyuhyun.

○ The types of verb

• Transitive verb is a verb that need an object. Example: Taka writes a letter for his brother.
• Intransitive verb is a verb that doesn't need an object in a sentence. Example: Brian and Onepil walk together in the morning.

○ The types of verb

• Regular: talk-talked-talked, walk-walked-walked, type-typed-typed.
• Irregular: write-wrote-written, drink-drank-drunk, sing-sang-sung.

○  The types of verb

• Finite verb is a verb that shows the influence of tenses, person, and number in sentence/clause. Example:
° Rocky has been reading for 30 minutes.
° Felix and Chenle go to school together.

• Non Finite verb is a verb that doesn't show the influences of tenses, person, and number in sentence/clause. Example:
Arin wants to make a meal for dinner.

○ The types of verb

• Action verb
° Activities; eat, listen, play, etc.. Example: Mark plays guitar next to me.

° Process; change, melt, shorten, etc.. Example: Yunoh makes me melting.

° Momentary; hit, jump, knock, etc.. Example: Johnny kick the ball.

• Stative verb
° Emotions; appreciate, love, like, etc.. Example: I love Kyuhyun.

° Mental states; agree, know, remember, etc.. Example: I remember when we first met.

° Sense or appreance; heard, etc.. Example: Dean heard the sound of wind blowing.

° Need and preference; desire, need, want, etc.. Example: I need a hug to relieve a fatigue.

° Possession; belong, have, own, etc.. Example: My heart has only you.

° Measurement; cost, owe, weight, etc.. Example: Dava owes me a cup of coffe.

● Adverb is a part of speech used to describe a verb, adjective, clause, or another adverb.

Types and examples of adverb
1. Adverb of Time
➡ adverbs that tell when an action occurred, or its time. (now, today, yesterday, etc.) Example: The concert is starting now.
2. Adverb of Place & Direction
➡ adverbs tell the location of an action, or where it occurred. (here, outside, there, etc.)
Example: I'll be right here waiting for you.
3. Adverb of Manner
➡ describe how something was done or the manner in which it was done. (automatically, briskly, cheerfully)
Example:  The corner's of my lips automatically pull up when he comes.
4. Adverb of Degree
➡ describe to what extent something was done or an action was executed (almost, also, absolutely, etc)
Example:  It almost paradise when he said he loves me.
5. Adverb of Modality or Certainty
➡ to state the level of confidence. (likely, maybe, probably, etc)
Example: Maybe he will forget about me.
6. Adverb of Frequency
➡ to state how often an activity or event is done happened. (always, often, reraly, etc.)
Example: Dava always reciting bismillah before do a thing.
7. Adverb of Purpose
➡ to answer the “why” question.
Example: He came to fix my computer.
8. Focusing adverb
➡ to show that what is being discussed is limited to the focused part. (also, just, only)
Example: My heart has only you.
